The Vision SP Pro Santos Palisander series is our latest development and features a number of innovations. First, the two models integrate all standard features you can expect from a PUR Cajon. The snare sound can be switched ON or OFF in seconds and you can also influence the intensity of the snare sound, no tools needed. Factory aligned Clap-Corners compliment your rhythm with additional variety. The Vision SP Pro series is the successor of the last Limited Edition and has its most promising features integrated and improved. The playfront is the result of an intensive test phase. The two models have an inbuilt pitch-converter located at the sound hole on the backside of the Cajon. By moving the pitch converter up or down you can adjust the size of the sound hole to modify the sound of the Cajon, especially the pitch of the bass. The smaller the sound hole the deeper the bass. Furthermore PUR has developed sound-chambers located on the left and on the right side of the Cajon. Each side has two separate sound-chambers with differing sound characteristics, offering your rhythm yet another alternative.

PUR Snare System

The Snare System, developed by PUR, is integrated into all our Cajon’s. It allows you to switch the snare sound on and off in seconds, no tools needed. In addition by turning the star shaped handle you can influence the intensity of the snare sound. All in all this allows every Cajon player to adjust any PUR Cajon to his or her personal preferences.

Play Front

The play front is the outcome of an extensive and enduring test phase. We focus on a play front that reacts very sensitively to even the slightest hits, making long jam sessions and effortless playing possible and enjoyable.

Body

The design of the body is the result of intensive research. It is composed of 11 layers of Birch, in total 15mm thick, veneered with either Maple or Ash, depending on the model. We discovered that this composition provides the best sound for our definition of a modern Cajon.
